Limited prototype release: A$299 each, offered at cost for customer testing and feedback.

We’re making a small number of these pre-production mounts available at cost so customers can test them and help us refine the design. Fitment, mounting points and finish are still being evaluated, so issues may arise and adjustments or further work may be needed during installation.

Designed for the Land Rover Defender Puma dashboard. Printed in black high-temperature PA11-HP nylon, our preferred material for these dash mounts. PA11 Nylon has a lightly textured surface, similar in look and feel to the textured moulded plastic used in vehicle interiors. We use these mounts as supplied in our own vehicles, installing them directly out of the box. A physical prototype is currently being tested by a customer in the UK.

Button holes: the current Puma design does not include the dash-control button holes found in our pre-Puma mount and regular mount range. Button holes can be added if required; please contact us before ordering to arrange this.

Factory cluster and starting system: removing the factory instrument cluster may affect the Puma’s CAN bus and immobiliser communication and prevent the engine from starting. Based on advice received from Andrew at Les Richmond Automotive, the factory cluster electronics/module may need to remain connected and be relocated behind the new dash mount. This approach has not yet been validated by us. Have your installer confirm the requirements for your vehicle before removing the original cluster. This mount does not provide a CAN bus or immobiliser solution.

Mount only. Haltech uC-10 screen, wiring harness, sensors and other dash electronics are not included.

Gallery includes CAD renders and stills of a physical prototype from customer testing in the UK. The uC-10 screen shown in the photos is for demonstration and is not included. Final production specifications remain subject to development.

Once this prototype allocation is sold out, there will be no further mount-only release. We’ll gather customer feedback and refine the design before offering these as complete digital dash packages with the screen, starting at A$5,000 AUD.

Rear mount printing note

Some light warping of the rear mounting section behind the screen is common due to the large, flat shape during printing. This generally has no impact on screen performance once everything is screwed into place and the mount is under tension.
