1993 Range Rover Classic Vogue SE

A Classic you’ll
want to drive.

Ardennes Green, original tan leather and the unmistakable Rover V8. Q.93RRC brings those details together with the upgrades we developed through our own car on the Sunshine Coast.

Our flagship Regal Rover Classics EFI kit, a Land Rover ZF eight-speed automatic and a fully rebuilt LT230 transform the drivetrain. Inside, digital climate control, extensive heat and sound treatment, modern audio and custom steering-wheel controls make the cabin a more comfortable place to spend time.

Details worth
looking closer at.

The current exterior, Rover V8 installation and driver’s view. Explore the details that bring this Classic together.

The way it drives

A Rover V8.
Eight forward gears.

The Rover V8 remains central to the experience. A Land Rover ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic replaces the original four-speed. The DomiWorks × Regal Rover Classics adapter kit brings the Rover V8, transmission and fully rebuilt LT230 transfer case together, with a selected 1.2:1 high-range ratio and TurboLamik transmission control. A brand-new Ashcroft ATB centre upgrades the rear differential.

Modern engine control

Our Regal Rover Classics EFI kit brings fully sequential fuel injection, individual ignition coils, Bosch injectors and electronic throttle control to the Rover V8. A later-model Bosch/Solex intake adds increased mid-range torque.

Integrated controls

The factory T-bar shifter is retained. The TurboLamik controller’s IF10 display is retrofitted into the dashboard for a factory appearance, with a discreet mode rotary keeping the controls neatly integrated.

Further refinement planned

Shift behaviour, downshift response and engine calibration will receive further development before release. Final handover timing will follow completion of that work.

Modern comforts · Classic surroundings

The details that
change every drive.

Digital climate control, a modern Land Rover key, push-button start and remote start. Familiar Classic character, with the conveniences you reach for every day.

Discovery 2 digital climate control

A Classic for
every season.

One of the most significant comfort upgrades in this car is its Discovery 2 automatic digital climate-control system. Choose your cabin temperature and let the system manage heating and cooling, bringing everyday ease to hot summer drives and cooler mornings.

This conversion goes hand in hand with the full soft-dash interior, upgraded air-conditioning condenser, Car Builders insulation and underbody heat protection. Together, they put cabin comfort at the heart of the build.

A modern welcome

Modern key.
Push-button start.

A modern Land Rover key is integrated with the car’s push-button start and remote-start system. It is a small part of the experience that you notice before the drive even begins.

The photograph shows the key used with our own Classic. The start system and its controls are part of the finished vehicle’s modern convenience package.

Cruise control

Settle into longer drives with cruise control and custom retrofitted buttons on the factory steering wheel.

Digital instruments

A Haltech UC-10 digital dash brings clear vehicle information into the familiar Classic driving position.

MagSafe phone charging

A MagSafe phone charger keeps compatible phones close to hand and charged during the drive.

ClearSight-inspired mirror

A camera-based rear-view mirror inspired by Land Rover ClearSight adds another modern convenience to the cabin.

Front and rear cameras

Front and reverse cameras assist with parking and positioning the Classic.

Audio at your fingertips

A Pioneer floating screen, Alpine speakers and a discreet subwoofer, with custom steering-wheel volume controls.

Cabin comfort and audio

Original leather.
A more refined cabin.

The original factory leather interior is retained. Beneath it, a full Car Builders heat and sound package has dramatically changed how the cabin feels, bringing its comfort and refinement much closer to a modern Range Rover.

Heat protection extends across the full underside of the vehicle, helping limit heat transfer into the floor and cabin. The interior treatment targets panel vibration, road noise and transmitted heat, working alongside the digital climate control to maximise comfort.

About the insulation

Car Builders reports noise reductions of around 3 dB on sealed roads and 10 dB or more on dirt or rutted surfaces in its 4WD examples. These are manufacturer examples rather than measurements of Q.93RRC. Thermal results depend on installation and conditions.

A full upgraded sound system pairs a Pioneer 9-inch floating-screen head unit with Alpine speakers. The subwoofer sits within the factory subwoofer enclosure, keeping the installation discreet and the cabin familiar.

The full soft-dash conversion includes Discovery 2 digital climate control, bringing digital temperature control to the original leather cabin. Digital instruments and the transmission display are integrated into the dash, with the factory T-bar shifter retained.

At your fingertips

Factory wheel.
Modern control.

Paddle shifters are custom fitted to the factory steering wheel, with custom retrofitted cruise-control and audio-volume buttons. Front and reverse cameras assist with parking, while the eight-speed transmission supplies the vehicle-speed signal directly.

The work behind the finish

A transformation
you can see.

Purchased in 2023, our Classic first received exterior paintwork, a thorough clean-up and repairs to its original hard dash. The first Haltech-based EFI installation followed on the factory engine. Planning and testing between those stages shaped the later car.

From broken trim to a considered cabin.

The original interior needed substantial repair. We restored the hard dash in the first version, then later developed the full soft-dash conversion, digital instruments and Discovery 2 digital climate control.

Built around
the complete drive.

The built engine and eight-speed installation belong to the later development phase. This photograph shows them ready ahead of installation, after the earlier cosmetic restoration and first EFI setup.

The eight-speed conversion, soft-dash conversion, Stage 3 EFI kit and soft-dash digital instruments were planned through that development process. The EFI work became the flagship Regal Rover Classics Stage 3 kit we now offer.

Q.93RRC has been our own development car throughout. Further transmission calibration, engine tuning and agreed refinements remain part of the completion work before handover.
